Spastic tetraparesis

Sabina Gusieva is a mother of two children: Muhammadali and Maryam.

Sabina raises two kids alone. The woman’s husband  Sabir went to Ukraine to earn money five years ago. Once he came through, promising to send money, but unfortunately, this call was the last.

The man went missing. It remains a mystery whether the father of children is alive ...

Sabina says that sometimes she watches the program“Wait for Me” on TV and cries. The son Muhammadali always suggests mom to apply to the program “Wait for me” to look for dad. After all, people  look for and find - persuades the boy. Telling this, Sabina's tears are flowing, she hugs her little girl Maryam, kisses and says "children are my happiness."

Sabina's daughter is 6 years old. She is a girl with a disability, with a diagnosis of spastic tetraparesis.

The family lives on one pension of 20 thousand rubles, does not receive help from anywhere. Sabina's mother is also disabled, but tries to help her grandchildren as far as possible. But her husband’s relatives completely cut ties with them after his disappearance, do not contemplate the children’s lives.

Maryam needs constant rehabilitation. Doctors give hope that the girl will be able to walk. After the last courses, Maryam learned to crawl, her eyes are straight. She asks to eat and drink, began to understand when talking to her. She likes to watch cartoons, play toys. And she fights with her elder brother Muhammadali with passion. The girl becomes more agile every day.

On March 9, Maryam should undergo rehabilitation in St. Petersburg at the Medical Center “Scandinavia”.

The course may cost 300 thousand rubles.

We also understand this is a very heavy sum for a family of three people, living on one pension.
